The Original GoPro Hero Black VS The GoPro Hero Black modified with an 8mm by Ragecams VS the newest GoPro Hero+ VS the newest SonyAction Exmor R.

The usual minicam comparison features footage of giant redwoods flying past you on the bike trail or fighting crazy rapids in Colorado, but how about non-action shots? Granted, these cameras are designed for action, but having the luxury of constantly focused footage makes me think, why can’t you use actions cameras for non-action shots?

With GoPro on their third version and Sony on their second, new editions, updates, and accessories annually make it impossible for you to stay ahead of the Action Camera game. But if you keep waiting to get the “new thing”, you’ll spend a  lot of time not shooting. The good thing is they’re affordable and the resale value is pretty good if you change your mind within the year.

Fisheye lenses make action cams not the best choice to capture regular footage, but Ragecams have an awesome 5.4mm lens that gets the footage nice and flat. Let me know & I’ll send you some of the footage.
